GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Series 900 plastisol inks are formulated to provide in-house color blending to popular color references. These inks are intermixable and are
completely curable. Where matches to fabric colors, or to bright and intense color swatches are required, Fluorescent colors are provided for
intermixing. The Color range consists of the 900-2 system, which is indicated on the accompanying price lists. The 900-2 system formulas give
superb opacity and hold-out properties. The 900-3 Soft Touch system can also be used for Hot Peel transfers.
STOCK:
Direct prints on knit and woven T-shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, fleece goods, and bandanna stock..
STENCILS:
All types of solvent resistant emulsions are suitable.
SCREEN MESH:
Monofilament fabrics are recommended. The 900-2 Series is intended for mesh sizes 86T to 196T. The 900-3 Soft Touch version is intended for
mesh sizes 205T to 3005T. Our 1180-51 Reducer/Detacktifier can be used to modify consistency as needed.
CURING:
315º F TO 330º F depending on ink deposit, color and dryer efficiency.
WASH-UP:
Tri-sol 25 or equivalent (Mineral Spirits).
COLOR FORMULAS:
Starting formulas to color references or supplied samples (wet or dry), may be obtained from our Technical Service by email, telephone or telefax. A
Color Formula Guide is also provided in two formats for your convenience: (1.) A simple Compact Formula Book in hard copy of either of the 900-2
or 900-3 series. (2.) An expanded Regular Formula Book that allows the user to pencil in either cost of products or can be used for batch calculation
with an external calculator, again in either series. Both of the matching series formulas are available for use.
Colors outside of the Formulation guide must be requested with a sample swatch to be matched in house especially where it is necessary to get a
starting formula.
STORAGE:
These inks must be stored under the same precautions of standard plastisol inks. Exposure to heat above 85º F will be detrimental to ink consistency.
